  20090528_093333 D3 P1 P1.jpg - Another much smaller monument on our way (along the coast) from the outskirts. We have stopped in Dakar on our way to South Africa. We were surprised to realize that it takes less time to fly from NYC to Dakar than it does to fly from Dakar to Johannesburg!! That's because the western part of Africa is 'quite west', actually only 3 time-zones from Eastern time!
